Air Brake does not seem to compromise the tone of a Z Wreck, even when on 4 clicks. In contrast, I feel the BL on 3 or 4 with a MAZ or Z -28 does take some life away. Some of this could be purely Fletcher-Munson effect as the Wreck is louder.
15/08/2012 · I own a Dr. Z Maz 18 from before the Brake Lites were pretty standard. I am looking to cut down on the overall volume but still get the tube warmth from the amp. I typically run my Z clean but loud and use pedals to add gain. Would a Brake Lite allow me to retain the warmth of the clean tone.
